WHEREAS:
that acupuncture is a practice or procedure for common application in our environment and has been recognized as a medical act by the Ministry of Health Ministerial Resolution No. 997 of 7 September 2001 stating that the same should be done only by practitioners according to Law No. 17,132, regulated by Decree No. 6216/67.
That the Confederation of Physiotherapists and Physical Therapists of Argentina has requested that the practice of acupuncture can be performed by professionals governed by Law No. 24,317, regulated by Decree No. 1288/97.
That there is a history of undergraduate and postgraduate training in this practice by professional physical therapists That the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires has endorsed the Physiotherapists and Physical Therapists as professionals able to apply the technique of acupuncture in their practices kinesiology, considering that the practice of acupuncture is a procedure because afferent stimulation in the treatment of acute, chronic and diseases of the musculoskeletal system, is a procedure that can be done by the Physiotherapists, adjusting to the professional regulations in force. That
regulatory Decree Law 1288/97 24,317 Practice of Kinesiology provides in Article 3 that the Ministry of Health should include, when the advancement of technology and science it advisable, any other apparatus or method leading to the recovery and rehabilitation of patients.
That the NATIONAL HEALTH REGULATION AND QUALITY IN HEALTH SERVICES AND THE SECRETARIAT OF POLICIES, REGULATION AND SUPERVISION have paid pursuant to this act. That

HEALTH MINISTER DECIDES:
Article 1 - They are authorized to make the practice of acupuncture practitioners by Law No. 17 132 (Standards for the of Medicine, Dentistry and collaborative activities), regulated by Decree 6216/67 and authorized by Law No. 24,317 (The Professional Practice of Kinesiology and Physical Therapy) regulated by Decree No. 1288/97.
Article 2 - acupuncture is recognized as a practice or procedure that can be done by a health professional trained university degree and understand the laws listed in Article 1.
Article 3 - Repealed Ministerial Resolution 997 dated September 7, 2001.
